An icon. Floral installations in the lobby, classic interiors, three Michelin stars under one roof. The most "Paris" address on the list.

The boutique pick — artistic, cinematic, moody. Smaller and quieter than the palace hotels, with a beautiful subterranean pool. A favourite of ours.

La Réserve Paris
Avenue Gabriel · 8th Arrondissement
Discreet, intimate, only forty keys — the palace hotel for guests who would rather not feel they're in a palace hotel. Michel Reybier's quiet masterpiece, with a Michelin-starred kitchen at Le Gabriel and a spa worth a long afternoon.

Hôtel Costes
Rue Saint-Honoré · 1st Arrondissement
Theatrical, velvet-clad, Jacques Garcia at his most operatic. Costes is a scene as much as a hotel — the dining room is half the experience, and the rooms hum with the right kind of nighttime energy. Reopened after a long restoration.
